Clay shaped by hand and transformed by fire.

Lena draws inspiration from observing the animals, people and plants around her, and the stories and songs she hears.

Gathering and processing clay, plant fibres, ash, bones and shells.. taking care to be frugal and thoughtful, is central to her design process.

A sense of place is communicated and embodied in her work, through use of local materials and subject. Lena is thankful to live and work on Peramangk land (in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia).
